Phil Adikes was an early adapter to the Internet. He built his first commercial site in 1995.
The first sites in this industry were not successful because the first store owners spent large sums to build sites without being able to nimbly update them. Beautiful sites became stale in a very short period of time.
Phil met with industry people and store owners in California in 2000 and put together a program where a garden center could get a site with monthly updates and a monthly email newsletter to their customers for a single fixed charge. This was less expensive and more reliable than having a person in-house to do this.
SInce 2000 Garden Center News has grown across the United States to serve 60 different garden centers. We have 5 team members that have been with us for over 15 years. We love the industry and have adapted our offerings to each client.
